Best Football Team In The State Of Missouri

I am looking forward to watching the best football team in the State of Missouri play this weekend. I wish I was talking about the St. Louis Rams. However at 1-7 and a point differential of -144 sadly they are not the top team. Nor am I talking about the 1-7 Kansas City Chiefs with a point differential of -79. Not even the 5-4 Missouri Tigers with a point differential of +31 are on my radar. I am talking about watching the 11-0 Desmet Spartans take on the 9-2 Jeff City Jays tonight at DeSmet High School . If you want to watch two really good football teams this weekend this is the game to be at. This is a Quarterfinal game in the Class 6 Missouri High School Football Playoffs. The winner will take on the winner of the huge Rockhurst, Blue Springs game also being played tonight. DeSmet, ranked 4th in the State of Missouri brings a high powered offense that has scored 537 points in 11 games. The Spartans also have a great defense that has only allowed 7.9 points per game. Jeff City is ranked #5 in the state and has a point differential of +251 on the year. This is going to be a great one. I believe DeSmet is poised to win the MSHSAA Class 6 Football Championship this year. We shall see....
