With the 103rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The St. Louis Rams have selected Dorell Scott DT out of Clemson. Scott played nose guard @ Clemson at 6'3' and 313 pounds. Scott is the 11th ranked DT according to
Draftcountdown.com. The Rams selected Scott in the area he was projected to go. Overall, sites believe he is an underacheiver but could be a steal if he developes. The Rams have had trouble selecting interior lineman over the past few years. This pick could be a reach. I really wanted the Rams to select RB Rashad Jennings of Liberty, or S Rashad Johnson from Alabama in the 3rd round. Jason Phillips ILB TCU is also still available. I know we already picked up Laurinaitis, but you can never have too many great players. Phillips is also a great special teams player. With Chris Draft and Pisa Tinoisamoa getting older and often injured Phillips would be a solid selection. I believe the Rams must find a solid backup for Steven Jackson with one of their remaining picks.
