St. Louis Rams Select Dorell Scott

dorell_scottWith the 103rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The St. Louis Rams have selected Dorell Scott DT out of Clemson. Scott played nose guard @ Clemson at 6'3' and 313 pounds. Scott is the 11th ranked DT according to

. The Rams selected Scott in the area he was projected to go. Overall, sites believe he is an underacheiver but could be a steal if he developes. The Rams have had trouble selecting interior lineman over the past few years. This pick could be a reach. I really wanted the Rams to select RB Rashad Jennings of Liberty, or S Rashad Johnson from Alabama in the 3rd round. Jason Phillips ILB TCU is also still available. I know we already picked up Laurinaitis, but you can never have too many great players. Phillips is also a great special teams player. With Chris Draft and Pisa Tinoisamoa getting older and often injured Phillips would be a solid selection. I believe the Rams must find a solid backup for Steven Jackson with one of their remaining picks.
